Senior reconciliation administrator
Senior banking administrator for 6 month temporary position based in Manchester city centre. They are looking to pay £10.06 and £11.32 per hour depending on experience.
Candidates will be working within the Money Transfer group and will need to be flexible on their working hours including bank holidays to meet the business needs.
You will need to pass a strict compliance check including a credit check and CRB due to the nature of the business.
Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring transactions and tasks are performed accurately and in a timely manner to provide quality service to the clients and minimise risk to the company. Around 70% of your work will revolve around transaction processing, query management and reconciliation. The rest will be to understand any risk and process improvement.
Duties
Reconciliation of cash breaks
Management of queries resulting from payments
Payment processing, account reconciliation, query management, account management and money market processing
Ensure the high volumes of transactions and tasks are processed accurately and within the specified deadlines to minimise financial loss and reputation impact
Verbal and written communication to internal and external parties
Participate in team meetings
Identify, analyse and solve any issues or problems
Working within the team to ensure checklists are adhered to and deadlines are met
Identify potential issues and escalate
Work to departmental procedures to understand and reduce risk
Log any errors and issues
Investigate opportunities for self-development to improve own knowledge of the business you are servicing
Skills and Experience
1-2 years experience in data processing, reconciliation and administration
Excellent communication with internal and external customers
Strong attention to detail
Proactive nature
Well organised and ability to prioritise workloads
Experience in meeting strict SLA’s
Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Team player
Proven experience of identifying and solving problems
