Job Function
This role is within the Change Team of the Global Reconciliations Utility (GRU). The GRU is the centre of competence for reconciliation services and support in Group Operations. It works in partnership and provides services to Operations units across IB, WM, Global Asset Management and Corporate Centre.

Job Description
The Senior Reconciliation Business Analyst will be responsible for leading innovative reconciliation solution design and delivery that is operationally stable and meets clearly defined business requirements. The role holder will be part of a regional team in London and report to the Global Head of GRU Change. The role will be expected to work closely with the global GRU teams, other functions within Operations and the GRU IT team to ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and successful delivery of projects within a controlled project governance framework.

Role specific responsibilities:
• Lead BA role across the end to end on-boarding process for ETD and OTC reconciliations onto the ETD IntelliMatch (SunGard) Reconciliation Platform:
o Documenting detailed business requirements by partnering and consulting with relevant stakeholders
o Working with IT project team members, vendor etc. to ensure that reconciliation requirements are appropriately understood and represented in any design / build considerations
o Working with other IT teams (i.e. non-GRU) / external parties (Exchanges Brokers) as principal contact to secure feed files
o Determining and documenting appropriate standard operating procedures
o Determining the appropriate test approach, coverage and test cases
o Executing UAT, recording results and designing resolution options for any deficiencies
o Develop the appropriate implementation approach for a reconciliation i.e. training requirements, parallel run exit criteria, business readiness etc. and support the reconciliation through to successful go-live
• As a senior member of the project team:
o Owning the relationship and being principle contact with business sponsors and business stakeholders
o Actively participating in project planning and progress tracking
o Point of escalation for the project team in London
o Supporting the Project Manager in ensuring that all risks and issues are identified and being managed
o Co-chairing the monthly Steering Committee with the Project Manager and preparing the supporting material
o Vendor engagement over an array of potential subject areas – e.g. specific reconciliation queries, strategic partnering opportunities and commercial arrangements etc.
• As a team leader:
o Planning the workload for the team (2 business analysts)
o Ensuring the appropriate assignment and allocation of work
o Tracking progress on activities assigned to team members
o Advising/supporting team members to work through challenges
o Identifying opportunities to improve the working practises of the team
o Ensuring that the team adopt a consistent approach that is compliant to any governance requirements

You are / have:
• Excellent communication skills – across all levels of seniority and locations
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills
• ETD product knowledge and reconciliation experience
• OTC-to-CCP product knowledge and reconciliation experience (desirable)
• ETD / OTC-to-CCP Intellimatch experience (desirable)
• Experience in project management
• Experience in leading a team and coordinating the work of others
• Able to work in a diverse team environment with people from different geographic locations
• Ability to build credible, trusting relationships and possess strong stakeholder management and customer facing skills
• Ability to work in a matrix team setup with remote CtB members, IT counterparts and Vendor participants
• A strong team player and with the ability to work as part of a team with limited supervision and in a fast paced environment while multi-tasking
• A proactive approach, working independently to tight deadlines with minimal supervision
• Able to anticipate potential problems, ‘think on feet’ to resolve and/or escalate appropriately
• Able to influence others over which you have no direct management authority at different levels in the organisation
• Competent using MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio
