Senior Regulatory Control Manager
My client, a highly regarded specialist bank are currently looking to expand their Regulatory Reporting team with the appointment of a Senior Manager to act as a deputy to the Head of Regulatory Finance. The business operate with an extremely entrepreneurial flair and provide an environment that encourages extraordinary performance.
It is essential that you have the ability to calculate capital on a mortgage for this role and this should be evident on your CV. You must able able to clearly articulate the difference between CRDIV Basel II and have a thorough understanding of the main features of credit risk mitigation. This individual will also need to have a strong accounting background with an accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
As the deputy head of regulatory finance, this and will offer the chance to take on additional responsibility later on down the line.
Responsibilities include:
- Driving the production of the quarter-end (and month end) regulatory process for the business to ensure that the group complies with the prudential and statistical rules as prescribed by the PRA and BoE
- Assisting with the production of monthly capital positions for internal reporting
- Streamline the above processes to improve efficiency including data clean up, process re-engineering etc.
- Prepare capital information for public disclosures (Pillar 3)
- Enhance the presentation of pillar I capital information for management reporting purposes
- Perform testing for system enhancements or new reporting requirements
- Address ad-hoc queries from other departments regarding capital information
- Help to provide capital analysis for new Basel / EBA / PRA consultation papers and technical standards
Again, you must have a deep working knowledge of standard rules on credit risk and market risk capital requirement calculation. Successful candidates will currently be working within banking and have at least 5 years relevant experience.
