If you are outcome driven with at least two years experience in the Vocational Rehabilitation industry and are looking for a change, this could be your next move. This role will suit those who come from a physio, OT or Psych background within Voc Rehab. You will be involved in showing your empathy whilst assisting injured employees manage the barriers they face in getting back to work, preparing them for job searching and supporting them once they secured a job.

You will be responsible for providing disability management services to employees with injuries, disabilities and other health conditions . Along with experience in workplace rehabilitation and an Allied Health qualification you will need to possess high level communication skills to record and assess injured workers progress. The ability to manage your time effectively and work in compliance with legislative requirements will be the key to your success.

As a rehabilitation consultant you will need eligibility for registration as a workplace rehabilitation consultant with WorkCover SA. This will mean that you will have to have a relevant qualification to be eligible for membership with your Professional Association:

• Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counselors (ASORC)
• Rehabilitation Counseling Association of Australia (RCAA)
• Australian Association of Occupational Therapists (registered)
• Physiotherapist Registration Board (registered)
• Australian Association of Exercise and Sports Science (accredited as an Exercise Physiologist)
• Psychologists Registration Board (registered or intern)
• Speech Pathology Australia
• Australian Association of Social Workers
• Medical Board (registered)
• Nurses Registration Board (registered)
• You will have to be registered for workplace rehabilitation consultant with WorkCover SA - holding relevant qualification to be eligible for membership with your professional Association

Your will need to have a current drivers license and own car
