Senior Relay Protection and Control Engineer 1830m Job in Albuquerque 87101, New Mexico US

Design relay protection and control systems for transmission and substations up to 345kV, including independent development, design, evaluation, selection and application of guidelines, procedures and engineering techniques and technical standards in an economically efficient and sound engineering manner.  **Principal Engineer opportunities exist for candidates who materially exceed qualifications outlined below.** Location: Albuquerque, NM

Qualifications:
• BSEE, power systems or system controls option, required
• 8-10+ years electric utility experience
• 5+ years of power system protective relay experience including design, installation and coordination required.  Prior experience in metering, SCADA and telecommunications is desirable.
• Registered Professional Engineer, PE, required
• Experience with Schweitzer relays and new substation relay design, panel fabrication, and installation
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Computer literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with proven project management skills
