As part of the Equinix's Network Engineering group, he/she will provide administration and development support for Remedy ARS implementation. This position is responsible for all custom changes to the application based on specific needs of the business. This position reports to the Manager of Network OSS Systems.
Responsibilities
- Installation and configuration of BMC Remedy applications.
- Architect and Deploy global Remedy system to support NA, EU and AP regions.
- Ability and knowledge necessary to maintain global Remedy System.
- Perform any necessary application upgrades or apply patches as needed.
- Assist in integration of Remedy to other network management tools such as Monolith.
- Create automated delivery method for standard reporting needs.
- Manage all user accounts, applications, hardware and software impacting the Remedy application.
- Monitor and tune the application to enhance performance.
- Document system processes and functionality.
- Troubleshoot user issues.
Qualifications Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years experience with Remedy installation and administration best practices (Application Server, Email Engine, Midtier Tomcat server).
- 4+ years experience with Linux OS administration.
- 4+ years experience with custom workflow test and release cycles.
- 4+ years experience with troubleshooting custom workflow behavior.
- 4+ years experience with DSO (Distributed Server Option) workflow
- 2+ years experience with troubleshooting Java or Perl API issues.
- 2+ years experience with troubleshooting Web Service issues.
- 2+ years experience with troubleshooting Oracle SQL issues.
- 1+ years experience with web server load balancing
- 1+ years experience with Remedy SSO (Single Sign-On)
- 1+ years experience with Global Remedy server architecture
- 1+ years experience with AR System version 7.6.0.3 or 7.6.0.4
- Experience with UNIX and Database Administration.
- Must demonstrate excellent time management skills for purpose of facilitating multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, business communication and writing skills.
- Strong thinking and analytic skills.
- Self motivated team player
- Ability to interface at all levels within the organization.
