Senior Research Analyst – European Financial Regulation recruitment
Job description:
• Take responsibility for researching the topics in Finance Watch’s scope.
• Respond to public consultations.
• Participate in working groups with Members and take responsibility for coordinating Finance Watch Members’ contributions on specific topics.
• Write research reports and position papers.
• Work in close collaboration with Public Affairs and Communication teams. Take active part in meetings with elected officials, civil servants and regulators.
• Present Finance Watch’s work in public.
• Represent Finance Watch at a high level.
Profile / main qualifications:
• Be convinced about Finance Watch’s mission.
• Significant relevant experience acquired working for financial institutions, legal firms involved in financial or financial regulatory matters or for financial trade associations. It is expected that candidates should have hands-on experience in their field of speciality. Professionals with background in the following fields are particularly encouraged to apply:
o Insurance
o Pension funds
o Legal / regulatory background applied to financial industry
• Very strong technical knowledge of financial issues and financial regulation.
• Understand the NGO world and be committed to working with Finance Watch’s members.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in German and full command of English.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Be a results-oriented and self-motivated individual.
• Be a team player.
