IPD is currently seeking a full-time Senior Research Analyst to join our Australia Research Team. This position will be based in Sydney, Australia.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively manage the research agenda for the local business.
- Liaise with clients on research requests and prepare client research reports and presentations.
- The analysis of real asset market performance on an international platform.
- Proving technical support (training and development) for existing and new analytical portfolio products.
- Mentoring and training junior research staff members in the business.
- Product Management
- Assist in the production and management of return indices for the Australasian markets.
- Support in maintaining expanding index databases for the Australasian markets.
- Assist with the delivery and distribution of index research products to clients.
- Product Support and Development
- Assist in product servicing to new and existing clients.
- Assist in the refocus of IPD’s research product range to meet local client needs.
- Assist in the development and production of research oriented products
- Client Engagement
- Research Products
- Liaise with clients on data queries and general research requests.
- Assist in tailoring outputs to meet client requirements.
- People Management
- Mentor junior staff on general task execution.
- Provide training to staff with regards to technical queries and product development.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A tertiary qualification in economics, statistics, econometrics or finance.
- Training in quantitative modeling tools
- At least 5 years in an industry (property) research role.
- Exposure to economic/econometric modeling; forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of the commercial property industry and market.
- Strong understanding of economics and investment markets
- Demonstrated high level of competency with IPD data systems.
- A resourceful problem solver.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization, logistics and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, be flexible and adapt well to change, particularly during times of intense activity.
- Contribute to building a positive team culture.
- Ability to work effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders.
- Address challenges head on and be resourceful.
- Continually improve processes and build knowledge and skills.
