Senior Retail Account Manager

Our client is a global leader in financial services. They help consumers and businesses transfer money, send payments, and purchase money orders and prepaid services. Their customers can quickly and easily transfer money to approximately 350,000 locations in more than 200 countries and territories. For our client we are seeking a Senior Retail Account Manager to take care of the larger key accounts in Germany whilst leading a team of junior account managers.

 

 

Senior Retail Account Manager – Team Leader (m/f)

Permanent Position/ Frankfurt am Main

 

 

The Challenge

As the new Senior Retail Account Manager it will be your responsibility to manage and take care of the key existing clients and partners. These partners are retail companies offering our clients services and products to end consumers. You will support the partners and enable them to deliver the appropriate customer experience according to our clients’ guidelines.

 

In your role as team leader you will manage a team of 4-6 Junior Key Account Managers working from home-offices across Germany. It will be your responsibility to offer guidance to the team and to provide leadership and development.

 

Your key-tasks will include:

·         Provide leadership and development for your team within Germany

·         Manage and develop business opportunities with the key retail partners

·         Support the partners in driving sales, customer satisfaction and quality improvements at the Point of Sales

·         Develop overall sales strategies for your team and region

·         Implement marketing and brand awareness campaigns

·         Ongoing market- and competitor research

·         Travel throughout Germany (ca. 30%)

 

The Right Candidate

As the new Senior Retail Account Manager you will have prior experience in a similar key account management and team leader role. You will ideally have experience working within the retail sector and managing a partner network. As you will be part of an international company and team, it is essential that you speak fluent English next to your fluent German.

 

The right candidate should also ideally have the following qualifications:

·         University degree (or equivalent) with focus on international studies, business, economics, finance etc.

·         Minimum of 6 years experience in key account management

·         Experience in managing and developing a team

·         Ideally solid knowledge of the German retail sector

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Fluent German and English

·         Willingness to travel
