Senior RF PA Design Job in Santa Clara 95050, California US
Summary:
Applicant will be part of a multi-discipline team developing PMICs, RF power amplifiers, RF switches, front-end modules for the fast paced high volume cellular handset market. Applicants will have chances to partake in all steps of the development, including silicon debug, system, product definition, MCM design, architecture, transistor-level circuit design, production test support, layout/layout supervision.
Must Have:
- MSEE with five plus years’ experience in RF design or recent Ph.D. with solid history.
- Practical skill in RF extraction layout.
- Skill in, or capability to learn, multi-chip module board design including matching /or filter networks to support fully integrated front end module designs.
- Strong knowledge of process device technologies.
- Solid commitment desire to take product from concept to volume production.
- Solid circuit simulation abilities utilizing spectreRF/Agilent ADS/GoldenGate 2.5/3D EM tools such as HFSS, Momentum, or Sonnet.
- Skill in, or capability to learn, PA or RF switches design in GaAs, CMOS, or SOI technologies.
- Strong knowledge of RF concepts including impedance transformation, passive RLC resonant circuits, impedance matching, stability, distributed systems, linearity, noise, bandwidth.
- Excellent communication abilities both written verbal.
- Solid lab abilities in product characterization RF debug.
- A self-starter team player with a solid desire to continue to learn on the job.
Good to Have:
- Acquainted with the RF requirements of communications standards such as WCDMA, GSM, EDGE.
- Skill in multi-chip module board design including matching /or filter networks would be favorable.
- Skill in PA or RF switches design in SOI, GaAs, or CMOS technologies would be favorable.
