Senior Risk Analyst, Forecasting & Stress Testing

The Team
The Strategic Risk Policy and Planning team's principal role is to;
- Provide current and forward looking views of IBB Credit Risk portfolios, including Loan Impairment Expense, Forecasting and Stress Testing.
- Identify assess and recommend strategic solutions matching business unit risk appetite and bank-wide framework expectations;
- Optimise risk / reward for IBB by making improvements to credit policies and instructions
- Provide insight, assurance and advice on Anti Money Laundering
The Role
This role will see you actively contributing to the supply of a structured and disciplined approach to the development and delivery of credit portfolio stress testing and forecasting processes and information.
Main Duties
- Assisting in the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the stress testing and forecasting framework.
- Assisting in development and maintenance of Risk models, tools and processes for the delivery of forward looking and insightful information for Risk Management and Business Unit decision making, having regard to internal and external influences e.g. business strategy, regulatory change or economic outlook.
- Undertaking regular investigation and analysis of changes to portfolio risk indicators for the Institutional Banking Markets and Business Private Banking portfolios. Assist with the ongoing development/refinement of regular reporting to provide insight into the effects of changes in portfolio mix, external influences such as the economic environment, and the impacts from changing risk estimates (e.g. Probability of Default and Loss Given Default).
- Build and maintain relationships, actively collaborating with Business Partners to identify, understand and/or anticipate their needs.
Experience Required
- Credit Risk Reporting and/or analytics experience from the financial services industry. Corporate or Institutional credit experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong SAS SQL skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in mathematics, statistics or related discipline.
- Sound written verbal communication skills.
