Senior Risk Analyst – Leading Financial Services Group recruitment
This role will offer the successful candidate to engage with key stakeholders on a global basis across several core business lines including asset management, life and pensions and general insurance There will also be an element of international travel to Asia and the US (approx 3 times per year). You core focus will be to ensure the development of a global risk management framework for the business, providing analysis and challenge to Business Units whilst supplying relevant Management Information. In turn you will need to measure risk adjusted performance, recommending changes to capital allocation as part of the strategic planning process.
Responsibilities will include :
- Undertaking analysis and oversight of operational risk exposures
- Involvement in and enhancement of group wide operational risk systems
- Reviewing and challenging BU operational risk profiles, incidents, scenario data and capital numbers
- Producing consolidated risk information and reporting for Group Risk, Group Executive Risk and the UK Group plc
- Ensure relevant MI is circulated to key stakeholders including risk modelling, scenario analysis and risk measurement (for economic and regulatory capital)
Key skills required :
- An operational risk background from the financial services sector is essential
- A working knowledge of Solvency II or Basel II is highly preferable
- Ability to project manage
- Good communication and influencing skills
