Senior Risk & Business Analyst

A leading international organisation with a head office in Basildon is currently looking to recruit 3 new Business Analysts to join their finance function.

• The Business Analyst will be empowered in managing their portfolio by speaking with the businesses directly, developing a strategy on the business, building relationships with business heads and owners, delivering messages to key stakeholders, as well as keeping our relationship managers and banking partners informed and engaged throughout the process.

• Inflow of new business into the portfolio from two main areas- one being organic growth or expansion from their mid risk team and the other coming in from new business signed to have an expected turnover and risk that would fall into the team.

• Minimum of 2 years credit/risk or business analysis experience.

• Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of credit risk exposure.

• Able to communicate with confidence via email, phone, letter or face to face with different businesses, regulatory bodies and all levels of management.

• Being able to learn from past decisions to improve future decisions and help guide future strategies within sectors or certain business models.

• Working in a fast paced environment where change is the norm as they build a team that moves with the business and the market as it develops.

One of the core tasks would be carrying out periodic reviews of their contracted businesses to ensure their credit worthiness by assessing its financial profile and understanding the business in terms of background, the products or services offered, and the associated contingent liability risk in a gone situation in terms of payments taken versus the fulfilment of product or services to its customers.

Candidates will have:
Degree or Masters - in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Maths or other relevant.

Professional qualification: - ACIB, AAT, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CFA, or other relevant.
