My client is a growing financial services institution looking to grow their evolving risk function across the business with a current specific requirement for a Senior Risk Manager to cover a key business division. As the largest business function this individual will be a key part of the senior risk leadership team and have input into strategic direction and commercial outcomes of the business
Key responsibilities:
- Working with business heads to focus on risk mitigation and improvement plans
- Risk Champion, proactively driving and influencing change
- Working across broad enterprise risk to incorporate operational and financial risk management
- Act as a key representative at Governance, Risk Compliance forums
- Strategic input ensuring effective risk management has an impact on long term business growth, market share and sustainability
- Designing, developing and implementing risk frameworks and policies across the division
- Design, development and roll out of Risk Appetite, embedding operationally at the process level across the division
- Building and developing the risk management culture through effective communication, working with the business and engaging and influencing to get value add business outcomes
- Strong people management and development skills required
- Proven experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholder is essential
Ideal background
- 7 - 10 years experience within a Risk management, Risk assurance or Risk Consulting background
- Financial service background essential, although this does not have to be current
- Proven experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholder is essential
