Senior Business Partner
An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Business Partner to join our client, a major financial services company based in London
Key responsibilities of the Senior Business Partner job will include:
-Managing assurance activities based on the current and future risk profile of Business Unit/s
-Providing IT and Risk management subject matter expertise to ensure effective management of the Business unit/s risk profile.
-Building strong relationships within Senior Management across Business Units and Group Operations
-Supporting and guiding other members of your team in the fulfilment of their individual accountabilities
-Working with managers across the three Lines of Defence (e.g. Group Risk, Internal Audit) to identify, sharing and implementing best practices across the risk lifecycle
-Deputising for Lead Business Partners as well as across other areas of Group IT Risk responsibility where necessary
-Coaching and developing skills ad knowledge of more junior team members in relevant IT and risk management disciplines
-Contributing as part of the IT Risk team to overall Strategy, Operating Model, and Change design and delivery
-Leading and/or working on projects as required
-Developing your overall Risk Management knowledge and capability
The ideal Senior Business Partner will possess the following attributes/skills:
-Ability to engage at 'Head of' level and build strong and effective working relationships
-Strong influencing, negotiating and coaching skills
-Significant subject matter expertise in IT and Operational Risk Management
-Good knowledge of the operational and regulatory complexities impacting the business, from strategic, operational and change perspectives
-Already have knowledge of, or be able to quickly gain, any relevant technical area for which you will be responsible
-Personal integrity and ability to lead a small team and take leadership of specific tasks and activities
-Gravitas and capability to provide constructive challenge to the business and ensure risks are addressed appropriately
-Extensive experience of having operated at 'Head of' level
-Proven project capability, including planning, resource management and delivery
