SENIOR SALES AND CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

In North America we have offices in Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, and Toronto. We have an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Sales and Client Relationship Manager in our Toronto office. Individual will be responsible for building the business of BNP Paribas Investment Partners with both institutional investors and retail distributors in Canada. Candidate will be responsible for generating sales, liaising with marketing and servicing existing clients.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead business development activities in Canada with specific AUM/revenue targets, from lead generation to finals presentation, and then on boarding and after sales service.
- Liaise and coordinate with consultant relations staff when a consultant is involved.
- Identify and position appropriate products/strategies in the Canadian market in conjunction with North American Sales Head.
- Provide input with regard to developing new products to develop and serve the Canadian market.
- Responsible for any other tasks requested by Management which are deemed necessary for the team as a whole to achieve their objectives.
- · Lead client servicing as the key day to day contact.
- · Responsible for ensuring that client needs, both simple and complex are met in timely and professional manner by either personally handling or coordinating with other groups.
- Develop/prepare investment proposals for clients and prospects.
- Oversee client take-on and shut down procedures.
- Review client portfolios for strategy and guideline compliance.
- Coordinate with other business areas (such as portfolio management, compliance, RFP team) to address client queries.
- Liaise with marketing in developing client / prospect seminars; participate in external conferences, etc.

Academic Background and Experience:
- Minimum of ten years of experience in institutional asset management sales.
- Proven track record n institutional asset management sales.
- Broad product knowledge across fixed income, equities and alternatives.
- Experience in servicing clients.
- Excellent understanding of investments, benchmarks and guidelines.
- Excellent academic credentials. MBA or CFA a strong plus.
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
