Senior Sales Manager – C&I Debt Coverage recruitment
Department: Corporate Issuer (CI) Coverage
Main Job Purpose:
To be bring new profitable revenues to the bank by the sale of corporate trust products and services to prospective names who do not have a contractual agreement with BNP Paribas Securities Services.
The jobholder will have responsibility for prospective clients by name and by geographic region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a list of prospect clients/individuals/business influencers etc., working with other sales people relationship managers in Paris, Milan, London and Luxembourg offices, having specific responsibility for certain target names (including specialist areas within these names e.g. Credit Derivatives, Securitisation etc.) and geographic regions.
- Working with other BNP Paribas personnel within Client Development and other business areas within BNP Paribas (Corp Finance, FIG etc) develop and implement call strategy for these areas/persons.
- Together with business management establish sales targets and maintain records of successes and losses.
- Complete call memos relating to business meetings and manage any resulting follow-up in a timely fashion.
- Respond to client new business invitations and requests for proposals, in a timely and professional manner, respecting internal credit and risk procedures.
- For business wins execute an efficient transfer of transaction information to the relevant documentation reviewer within CTS, ensuring that the client is aware of contacts in the future.
- When opportunities arise and/or are identified, introduce or cross sell other BNP Paribas products and services.
- Regularly network with decision makers and business influencers at clients/prospects, ensuring that agreed budgets are respected.
- Actively participate in the development of sales and marketing materials.
- Represent BNP Paribas at industry conferences, including being BNp Paribas delegate when formal speaker opportunities arise e.g. industry panels
- Feed potential product development information to the appropriate person(s) in BNP Paribas/CTS.
- Lead and/or participate in client related activities, such as product forums or client entertainment, ensuring that agreed budgets are respected.
- Completion of CRFI, Compliance KYC approvals.
- When required, mentor and provide advice to more the more junior members of the team.
