Role Summary/Purpose

This is a Thermal Sales position selling water treatment solutions to the Oil Sands Industry.

Essential Responsibilities

• Commercial development of Projects involving Water Treatment Solutions for Oil Sands Industry including produced water Evaporators, Crystallizers and Zero Liquid Discharge solutions and associated technologies.
• Develop and present actionable project opportunity specific sales strategies for Oil Sands Projects that result in closing new business.
• Identify and map decision-makers and influencers in the customer organization and develop strategies for all applicable stakeholders in the customer organization for target opportunities.
• Develop relationships throughout customer organizations to enable successful positioning of Water Treatment Technologies to achieve high successful opportunity conversion rate.
• Work with customers to understand their CTQ's (Critical to Quality) and develop appropriate, and where possible differentiated, value proposition spanning entire ES (Engineered Systems) technology product portfolio.
• Pull together cross-functional team to support winning strategy and customer meetings as needed
• Support the accurate forecasting of revenue and multi-year contract values at the regional level
• Participate in the Growth Playbook and Annual Bottoms-up roll-up processes for the region.
• Lead develop value story and market clearing price with ES commercial team with inputs from regions, verticals and functional teams.
• Cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organization which includes current as well as future customers.
• Review commercial bid specification and communicate sales strategy for the opportunity
• Make integrity a main driver for all activities
• Travel as necessary and appropriate to assist with successful closing of opportunities.

Qualifications/Requirements

Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline. • Minimum of 5 years commercial experience or other directly related experience in water treatment capital sales, preferably in oil gas industries.

Desired Characteristics

Demonstrated knowledge of the Water Industry and applicable technologies. Thermal evaporator background is strongly desired• Demonstrated knowledge and background in the oil industry, preferably Alberta Heavy Oil related experience• Demonstrated strong communication skills ability to build relationship throughout customer organization• Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex technical sales and development of strategies to win these long cycle sales.• Proficiency in using applicable software sales empowerment tools• MBA Degree, or equivalent business experience is desiredPreferred location is Calgary, but other locations within Western Canada may be considered.
