The Senior Sales/Business Development Executive is primarily responsible for developing and executing a sales plan to sell a new Investor Services product, nationwide. Aggressively identify and qualify leads and closes business with mutual fund and hedge fund companies. The Senior Sales/Businress Development Executive will develop sales strategies, scripts and input performance metrics in collaboration with Marketing team as needed. He/she will be responsible for the management of the monthly sales forecast and the execution of sales activity required meeting or exceeding target. He/she will work closely with Current Analysis Executive Team to develop Current Analysis sales plan and budget.
The ideal candidate will have experience selling subscription-based products to the Wall Street community. Knowledge of the Telecommunications and IT Infrastructure market is a plus, but not required. The candidate should have experience in consultative relationship sales, and be able to demonstrate information and analytical value to the prospect clients as part of the sales process
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Face-to-face selling at the fund analyst and portfolio manager level
- Achieve sales objectives and quotas
- Forecast and monitor weekly and monthly annual sales performance
- Work with Current Analysis analysts where they can be effective in closing a deal
- Provide management reports as directed
- Collaborate with marketing, operations and administration to meet or exceed company sales objectives
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned outside of direct responsibilities to contribute to the overall success of the Capital markets program
- Any other tasks as assigned
- The Senior Sales Executive must be familiar and comply with Current Analysis standards, practices and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong consultative sales experience with executive-level prospects
- At least 8 years of successful sales track record
- Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding quota as an individual
- Dynamic personality and professional demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interface with portfolio managers and analysts
- Knowledge of investment research payment mechanisms, including soft dollar arrangements and CCAs/CSAs
- Knowledge and Experience with Ipreo software
- Basic Internet and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience selling to the private equity/venture capital community is valuable, not required
