Senior Service Desk Technician

2 months Contract

Our Client, a leading Insurance provider, is currently recruiting for Senior Service Desk Technician to be based in Chelmsford.

The Service Desk Technician will be prepared to provide initial point of contact and support to internal customers, assisting them with hardware and software problems via phone, email or remote assistance. Also providing desk side support for on-site users and liaising with 3rd party support companies.

You will provide 1st line technical support to maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries. You will take ownership of user Incidents and be proactive when dealing with user issues and log all calls on the Service Desk toolset.

You will have had 5 GCSE’s including Maths English (A-C) and IT qualification (MCP or similar)
Past experience of previous Service Desk (telephone support) experience with excellent telephone manner and basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration.
You should have experience using and troubleshooting Citrix. and troubleshooting Microsoft Office with emphasis on MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
