Senior Software Developer Equity IT

Equities IT has two primary mandates: firstly, to enable and support the equities business in its daily operations, and secondly to support the growth areas within the business via the provision of cost effective, innovative technology solutions.
About the Role
The Equity trading landscape is evolving and changing, so are they. They are just now in a phase of restructuring the Equity trading platform. As a senior developer member of the Equity IT team you will be part of shaping the Equity trading platform of the future. Your responsibilities include:
- Working closely together with the equities business teams
- Identify requirements
- Formulate design
- Developing software
- Implementing technology solutions
- Developing robust, mission critical, high performance server solutions
There are interdependencies to other business units so you will work in fast moving and interactive environment across the Nordic countries.
Your Profile
You have a passion for software development and Java in particular. You can analyse business needs and requirements and implement solutions meeting the needs and expectations.
You understand the implications and challenges with developing and maintaining mission critical solutions.
Problems are seen as challenges and you like to find pragmatic solutions.
We are looking for the right combination of innovator and backend developer. You excel in building robust mission critical backend solutions using Java technology.
- +5 year in creative software development
- You have experience of the FIX protocol and developing FIX solutions. Ideally experience of the Ullink product suite and/or QuickFix.
- You will be required to support the solutions you develop in a real-time trading environment.
- You feel comfortable with Eclipse, XML/XSD, SQL, TCP/IP, GIT, JIRA, Linux
- You have a good understanding of the workings of an Equities and Derivatives business - covering a combination order, trades flows - listed, none listed products.
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Master of Science degree in computer science or similar level of education
This is a permanent full time position, located in Copenhagen. You are looking to start as soon as possible.
