The Role
The Fixed Income group develops software to support the analytics and data that moves the Global Fixed Income markets. We cover the Government, Corporate, Money Market, Muni and Preferred instruments. Our analytical functions are industry standards in their respective markets. Developers in our group have the opportunity to work in all stages of the SDLC, from working with business, external vendors, and clients to define requirements, to designing, developing, testing and delivering the product. The group also works on crucial Calculations/Pricing Systems/Algorithms that a lot of our clients depend on to make decisions. We have a code base that spans the breadth of the technology spectrum at Bloomberg, including Application Services/C/C++. We try to keep our projects cross functional, so that developers can work in software and technologies used by various teams within Fixed Income.
We are looking for a candidate with strong coding skills, excellent communication and problem solving skills. Candidate should be a quick learner with a desire to learn/understand Finance.
Qualifications:
*At least 3 years experience with C/C++ in a UNIX environment
*Experience with managing medium to large scale projects from requirement gathering to rollout
*Strong Communication Skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
*Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance (or equivalent expertise )
