Senior Software Engineer at CloudBeds (Mountain View, CA) (allows remote)
Job Description
CloudBeds is looking to recruit a fierce and warrior-like all-in-one web developer who is craving the startup experience; someone who specializes in front-end and back-end web development. You will be brought on as the primary developer for a consumer facing web application deployed in the U.S. hospitality space. Working with limited supervision from our technical lead, you will help tackle an awesome new product and eventually transition to help develop our primary application (CloudBeds).
Skills Requirements
Responsibilities
- Write clean, well-documented, and beautiful code
Own projects from start to finish
Write test cases to maintain product optimization and functionality
Develop application-front end with provided UI design [JS/CSS/HTML/AJAX]
Develop application-backend with provided design [PHP]
Database model design integration [PHP/MySQL]
Integration with a number of third-party API’s for application data analysis and authentication (Google, Facebook, etc)
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related major [CSC/CPE/SE]
Advanced skills in developing with PHP*, JS*, CSS, HTML
Advanced skills in designing and integrating MySQL databases and data models
Ability to take full stack web application projects from start to finish with minimal supervision
5+ years of experience with related programming languages
Ability to work remotely and manage your own time (reporting to technical lead)
Ability to work and communicate well in a small team environment
Proficient using GIT repositories
Pluses
- Experience with development on Amazon Web Services [EC2/RDS/S3]
Experience with CodeIgniter or similar PHP development frameworks
Experience with Atlassian products [JIRA/Fisheye/BitBucket]
Experience with Selenium, Jenkins, Bamboo or similar test, automation and deployment frameworks
Passion for best coding and design practices
