The Xilinx System Generator for DSP * team is looking for a Software engineer with a broad set of skills who are ready to tackle a wide range of technical challenges. The position includes development of cutting edge hardware/software architecture, embedded systems programming on ARM A9 based platform and development of FPGA hardware for Co-processing. Responsibilities include abstraction of processors (soft hard), maintenance and enhancement of FPGA Co-Processor development tools, development of processor centric debugging simulation technologies.

* Xilinx System Generator for DSP is a high level modeling and implementation tool that provides a Simulink/Matlab interface to targeting Xilinx FPGA Platform.

Job Requirements

Master's/Ph.D in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent

A solid understanding of Processor Architectures like ARM A9 or equivalent and embedded systems programming including driver development etc.

FPGA logic design(VHDL/Verilog) skills and Xilinx tool flows like ISE/XPS

Good programming skills in C++ or Java and familiarity with source/revision control tools (e.g. SVN, CVS etc.)

Knowledge of GNU tool chain and debugger is a plus

Experience with Matlab/Simulink is desired but not required

Experience with Eclipse development environment and plug-in infrastructure is desired but not required

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as the position requires interaction with a number of different teams
