Senior SQL DBA - SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS / SSRS - Production DBA
An outstanding opportunity to join a leading Fund Manager has arisen for an agile, proactive and highly skilled Senior SQL Server Production DBA with excellent SQL Server 2005 / 2008 and ideally 2012 skills, with good knowledge of T-SQL and SSIS / SSRS, who wants to make a clear and visible difference whilst also providing management / leadership in the absence of the manager.
The role will include responsibilities across Support, Development and UAT as much as focusing on Database Administration. The SQL Server estate is made up of SQL Server 2005 and 2008 Databases, with SQL Server 2012 currently in production. You will be heavily involved in releases, with up to 10 releases a distinct possibility for a normal working week plus be expected to lead the team in the absence of the manager.
The role will require the successful candidate to roll up their sleeves, get involved with the performance tuning and enhancing of the Databases and make headway in terms of the wider support function.
Essential Skills:
• SQL Server 2005 and 2008 (SQL 2012 a bonus)
• T-SQL (Transact-SQL)
• SSIS / SSRS
• Experienced in dealing with 200+ SQL Server Incidences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
