Senior Storage Architect recruitment
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field;
- At least 10+ years of experience and minimum 5 years of storage consulting experience;
- Excellent communication and stakeholders management skills;
- Strong pre-sales, consulting and business development experience;
- Expert in the areas of systems, storage hardware, storage management software and storage networking;
- Good understanding and knowledge of enterprise solutions;
- Relevant experience designing multi-tiered Storage solutions including backup, capacity planning, archiving, and hierarchical storage;
- Experience with zooming, file/volume management, clustering/replication, high availability, performance and tuning;
- Understanding of multi-vendor storage solutions and environments, with the ability to articulate strengths and weaknesses, scaling, high availability, capacity, and performance;
- Strong understanding data replication, deduplication, compression, data mobility;
- Familiarity with typical network concepts, and the impact of network concepts on storage, database, and operating system constraints, with the ability to troubleshoot the same;
- Strong background supporting Thin Provisioning and Storage Virtualization;
- Excellent knowledge of Capacity planning for Storage dynamic expansion and Storage auto-provisioning experience with NetApp;
- Abilityto affect change and expects success; anticipates possible outcomes and plans carefully to avoid the possibility of failure;
- Possesses an inquisitive nature that is open to learning from all sources;
- Detail oriented and organized in professional pursuits;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, including senior technical peers, external clients, and engineers at all levels;
- Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques to identify, scope, and resolve difficult, intermittent, and other senior level technical issues;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver next-generation solutions from concept to product delivery;
- Strong and confident presentation skills.
Desirable Skill(s)
- TOGAF Certified.
Responsibilities
- Architect, plan, design, and execute on Storage infrastructure related projects and programs;
- Work on different business engagementsto add continuous value;
- Determine and develop the next-generation of Storage architecture and design, including full responsibility for creating and publishing Architectural standards and design documents;
- Work closely with architects in other technical disciplines to determine the appropriate architectures for new products, and designs for utilizing existing architectures different client engagements;
- Engage withteams across the technology stack including network, database, application, and datacenter to design and maintain centralized and decentralized SAN, NAS, and DFS data stores;
- Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate vendors, including new technology selection for different projects;
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for architectural reviews, design review, and technology selection with respect to the Storage environment;
- Creates high quality and creative solutions and proposals by performing impact assessments, identifying assumptions and risks and accurately estimating the time required;
- Assist the sales team inenterprise custom development solutions and services by crafting technical solutions, writing proposals and preparing and participating in presentations and demonstrations. As a part of the business development team, responsible for driving the business to meet target.
