Senior Supervisor
My client is a major Financial Services business based in Edinburgh who are currently recruiting for a Senior Supervisor for the Valuations team. This is an exciting job opportunity which will allow you to work proactively within a fast-paced team with excellent growth potential.
You will be responsible for the daily running of a small team and allocation of the operational tasks. You must ensure that all client deliverables are planned for and that system and process improvements are implemented effectively. You will undertake reporting reviews, staff training and development and ensure that performance of team members is effectively managed. This role is in an expanding team and will offer you the opportunity to develop management skills become involved in the business in a meaningful way.
You will also be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of internal management information over the offshored functions to ensure that adequate governance is in place and maintained. This will require excellent communication skills between offshore sites and clients. You will undertake supervisory reviews of pricing and other fund accounting and reporting information, lead on projects and process improvements, keep up to date on regulatory change impacting the fund pricing, and prepare and develop MI for internal and client meetings.
The successful candidate will have strong fund accounting knowledge and experience of staff management. You will ideally hold an accounting qualification or IAQ/IOC qualification. You will liaise with pricing teams offshore to ensure accurate and timely fund prices and ensure understanding of any out of tolerance movements and explanations is received prior to release to clients.
