The Payments Cash Management (PCP) IT function in APAC is responsible for Payments Cash Management applications for UBS in the APAC Region. In addition to the support and maintenance of these applications, there is a need to deliver a number of key initiatives both within the region and globally in support of regulatory, stability and global innovation projects spanning across multiple years.
The successful candidate will manage a change team for PCP IT applications in the APAC region, having responsibility for the existing Payments and Cash Management systems.
He/She will lead streams of work and small projects for UBS Investment Banking and Wealth Management businesses, project management and delivery of new functionality and analysis in support of external deliveries. The resource should have strong technical background, design and practical experience in Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and delivery. Experience in managing offshore outsourced teams and vendor delivery will also required. The system environment is mainframe based with some decentralized application interaction.
Job role:
- Work independently to lead a small team, manage the implementation of small to medium projects, ensure quality system deliverable will fully meet business requirements and ensure that implementations are in accordance to project timeline. He/she will take lead and hold responsible for all project tasks, including (but not limited to):
- Requirement study analysis, effort sizing
- Impact analysis
- Functional Technical design
- Team supervision
- System development
- Plan and coordinate system integration testing
- Coordinate with user IT streams for UAT execution
- Perform user training
- Implementation / conversion management
- Act as leading analyst in sizeable projects
- Provide level 3/4 maintenance for PCP APAC applications
- Manage relationships with the business users, user management, other IT streams, and other stakeholders
- Manage and oversee both outsourcing and vendor relationships to ensure maximum value to the organization. This will require frequent interaction and strong vendor management/negotiation skills.
Requirements:
- A recognized degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
- Solid IBM Mainframe skills (z/OS, CICS, DB2, MQ, VSAM, etc.) with at least 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in banking systems (preferably in Payments Cash Management domain)
- Ability to manage and develop teams
- Well organized and with the ability to organize others
- Practical project management skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to analyse complex, unstructured information and draw out key themes
- Ability to see and respond to “big picture” issues coupled with attention to detail
- Confidence interacting with senior management, both within and outside Group Technology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Desktop skills (Powerpoint, Excel, MS Project, etc)
