Job Responsibilities:
SUMMARY The Senior Talent Management Consultant is responsible for using best practices to lead and oversee talent management processes. Assesses current and future talent management needs, develops appropriate strategies, and translates those strategies into actionable, realistic project plans that improve talent capabilities and the leadership bench strength of the organization. Has a broad scope of influence over all parts of the organization through the problem solving of critical and complex talent-related issues. Provides support as needed to senior leaders across the enterprise (corporate, field/stores and distribution centers). Partners with HR Business Partners to execute processes and to address talent management needs and concerns.

Key Accountabilities- The Senior Talent Management Consultant leads all aspects of talent management for the corporate office, the Field/ Stores and the Distribution Centers - including developing strategy and collaborating with HR Business Partners for execution. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Performance Management
• Providing project management and process improvement for performance management (goal cascading, performance reviews, etc.).
• Functioning as an expert to create and influence tools, models and learning related to performance management.
• Re-designing and integrating the performance management process and talent review process in order to meet various business needs and preferences.
• Talent Management
• Managing the talent management process for the corporate office, the field/ stores and the distribution centers – includes annual succession planning (talent review process) and ongoing support processes throughout year.
• Managing the online talent review system (SAP) – including improvements, revisions, testing, training and communication of changes.
• Providing input on individuals as an internal consultant during talent identification and readiness discussions.
• Change Management
• Act as a change management consultant for large-scale enterprise projects using the PetSmart change management process.
• Associate Surveys
• Manage the semi-annual Distribution Center associate surveys and the corporate survey. Includes vendor management, administration, strategic application, interpretation and distribution of results.
• Other:
• Partnering and consulting with relevant HR Business Partners to deliver value related to talent management across all of PetSmart (corporate, field/ stores, distribution centers).
• Using analytics, statistics, metrics and trends to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and sustain the momentum around talent efforts
• Influencing and supporting Senior Leaders across the organization without authority on decisions related to talent management processes.
• Facilitating leadership learning, team building activities, project meetings and other critical meetings.
• Coaching mid-level and senior-level executives on 360 feedback and other assessment results.
• Facilitating the use of individual assessments such as MBTI, DISC, Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory, etc. for group sessions or one-on-one sessions.
• Leading cross-functional teams on talent-related projects for corporate office, field/ stores and DCs.

Qualifications:
Education Experience: Position reports to the Director of Talent Assessment and Development. Prefer a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or Organizational Development with 5 -8 years of experience in a retail or consumer product company.
