Title: Senior Tech Leader / Developer, ED, Electronic Market Making/Algo Trading

Introduction: Montash Associates have been engaged by one of the most prestigious banking organisations in the world, to assist in the addition of a strong leader and developer for the Market Making and Quoting engines team.

The Organisation: One of the world’s biggest brands, a Tier One Investment Bank with a very positive reputation.

The Team: The successful candidate will join a team focusing upon the development of a market-making and high frequency trading system. This systems works across a range of asset classes such as exotics, ETFs and stocks and options. This team is involved in the development and design of a greenfield framework for automated pricing and trading strategies.

The Role: You will be joining a high performing team and will be working on a front office facing team working closely alongside traders, marketers and quantitative researchers.  Your role will be involved in creating the best trading system around, working with talented developers to constantly improve the system. As the Senior Tech Lead you will be one of the most senior individuals within the team and be a spearhead for future development.

The Technology:

• Experience working with Java in a Windows/Linux environment

• Experience working in front office trading applications

• Experience working in algo trading groups or electronic market making is preferable

• Experience working with low latency messaging middleware

• Experience in multithreaded programming

• Experience with debugging/performance tuning

• Experience working with comprehensive development projects without close supervision

• Knowledge of Sybase and tuning techniques preferable

• Strong knowledge of FIX protocol would be desirable

• Good educational background desired.
