Senior Technical Program Manager, Subsidiary Integration Job Description The Consumables Subsidiary Integration Team is looking for a scrappy, motivated, driven Technical Product Manger to drive the technical integration of Amazon and its subsidiary, Quidsi. As one of the fastest growing e-commerce companies in the country, Quidsi, Inc. its Affiliates (Quidsi) own and operate Diapers.com (baby care), Soap.com (health, beauty and household essentials), BeautyBar.com (prestige beauty), Wag.com (pet products) and YoYo.com (toys). As a Subsidiary Integration Technical Product Manager, you will assist with the strategic vision and drive value across the Amazon and Quidsi websites. You should not only possess analytical intelligence, but just as important, creativity, cleverness and an agile mind. You will play a key role in the growth of our business by determining where and how to leverage Amazon services and software, defining the product roadmap, driving cross-functional teams to define business and product requirements and identifying and scoping new areas of opportunity and improvement. This is a fun, multi-faceted job in a start-up environment. Flexibility, a strong work ethic, excellence in planning and execution and a good sense of humor are a must. Knowledge of the following is required; service-oriented architecture, product development (including C++, Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services), project management and release models. The ideal candidate will have 6 or more years of relevant work experience in internet-related project and technical product management in an enterprise software applications environment. An undergraduate degree in computer science, or equivalent experience required. Specific responsibilities include: * Perform detailed technical review of Quidsi systems to understand where using Amazon services would provide cost savings, scaling or other operational efficiencies. * Contribute in the launch of new products by participating in user interface design, usability testing, requirements definition, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, and launch efforts. * Work cross-functionally with designers, software development engineers, quality assurance engineers, business development and product managers ensuring that all teams understand both Quidsi and Amazon strategy and goals. * Partner with technology teams to create and deliver against aggressive roadmaps. * Deliver against project plans and deliverables on time and on budget. * Define the short and long-term technical integration strategies and execute against them. * Regular travel to New York metropolitan area is required (15%) Basic Qualifications - Product development experience (including C++, Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services) - 5+ years of relevant work experience in internet-related program and/or technical product management in a software applications environment - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline - Excellent problem-solving skills - Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels across multiple business units Preferred Qualifications - Experience with agile or other program management methodologies - Master's degree in business management, computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline Posted Date: 3/20/2012 Company: Amazon Corporate LLC E-mail Address: Forgot your password?
