Long established professional services firm in the DC area is looking for SENIOR TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER to join their team.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We have an outanding opportunity for a Senior Technical Project Manager with strong project management experience to assist clint in reviewing existing systems and new requirements and oversee a team to develop a web based Oracle DB solution. This position requires a strong technology background, seasoned in customer interactions, good at gathering requirements and the ability to identify project issues and work to develop solutions. The ideal candidate must have an 'ownership mentality' and a strong 'evangelization attitude' so that the client can lean on this program manager to feel comfortable his project will be implemented successfully.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUITRMENTS:
Minimum of 8 years of experience leading technical projects, 4 of which must be in a software or website discipline
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Oracle DB and Java J2EE
Full knowledge of the software development lifecycle (waterfall and agile)
Ability to read and understand functional requirements, recommend changes, and test against the final implementation
Must be disciplined, detail oriented, self-motivated, and extremely organized with the ability to work independently and learn quickly
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to anticipation and proactive track, record, remove, and escalate impediments
Assist in defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support client business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
Ability to estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and make the appropriate recruitments
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Bachelors degree
Great facilitation skills, with ability to lead by serving
- Contact Center experience is desirable but optional
- Experience using Agile techniques is desirable but optional
