Senior Trade Support Specialist (Equity Derivatives)

Description:
The team is primarily responsible for supporting the various Flow Exotic Trading desks in APAC from the inception of a trade and maintenance through the full trade lifecycle to termination or maturity. Trade Support are also responsible for monitoring key controls to ensure that there is a complete and accurate account of all trading activity in the Bank’s books and records on a daily basis. Each member of the team balances ‘business-as-usual line tasks’ while engaging in on-going tactical and strategic enhancements to booking flows, processes and controls.
Principal Responsibilities:
- To carry out accurate Trade Capture of various flow exotic equity derivative products (ETFs, Vanilla OTC Listed options, Futures and Variance Swaps)
- Notify, maintain and execute expirations and trade events (including Corporate Actions)
- Maintain reconciliation and checking of PL reports to ensure proper control of risk management is in place
- Review and solve complex trade process and flow problems and act as an interface to the Business, Operations and Finance to ensure all client needs are met in an efficient manner
- Support on-going process and control improvement projects
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- University Degree level education - Ideally within a numerate discipline
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Middle Office or Product Control area within an investment banking/brokerage/ custodian banking or accounting firms
- Good knowledge of the Investment Banking industry with knowledge of Equity Derivatives products, a definite plus
- Proven ability to pick up new tasks and to assimilate quickly in a new working environment and company culture
- Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and good communication skills
- An in depth knowledge of excel is required and strong programming skills (C++, VBA, Java, Access) preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with sales, traders and mid/back office support staff
- Highly self-motivated and a fast learner
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
