Senior Trade Surveillance Compliance Officer for Leading Energy Trading Commodities House | New York, USA

Description
A leading US based energy trading house is looking to add a senior trade surveillance specialist to report directly into the CCO and liaise directly with the front office. The roles responsibilities will be primarily based around building and maintaining the trade compliance program and monitoring the extensive trading activity across the derivatives and physical energy markets.
The role will have regular liaising with the financial regulatory bodies within the US and so experience in dealing with these bodies will be a huge bonus.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years experience working in a Surveillance group focussed on Physical Commodities / Derivatives markets
- Excellent communication skills
- Detailed knowledge of typical physical and financial energy trading strategies
- Experience with Aligne or trade capture systems in general preferred
- Detailed knowledge of major external regulations, including Dodd-Frank and FERC market behavior rules
- Strong Educational Background
- Direct experience in dealing with financial regulators
