Senior Trustee & Fiduciary Services Manager recruitment
This organization is a major player in offering a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services globally. Its clients include institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations.
Due to an expansion of its business, the firm is looking to add a senior trustee fiduciary services manager to its team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure responsibilities and duties as trustee and fiduciary are performed in accordance with appropriate legal documentation such as trust deed and prospectus, the laws and rules of the financial and other regulatory bodies including SFC, MPFA and CIMA, etc
- Manage a team of professionals providing Trustee and Fiduciary Services (TFS) for different Funds products including authorised and unauthorised trust funds, offshore and onshore, and Real Estate Investment Tusts (REITs)
- Manage and mitigate fiduciary risks for Fund Services Hong Kong
- Assist the business development of REIT business with relevant Product and Sector Head (Client Management)
- Be one of the key senior contacts managing internal and external service providers
- Lead the team to conduct regular due diligence exercise and site visits to service providers as required by regulations
- Work closely, and manage as fiduciary, the interdependencies between other key departments to ensure fiduciary duty to clients of Fund Services is discharged
- Work with global and regional Trustee and Fiduciary teams to implement the global / regional operating model and share best practices with other regional offices
- Ensure best practice of trustee and fiduciary services is implemented as well as ensure compliant of global trustee benchmark
- Cultivate a client focused and highly productive team with succession planning
- Ensure compliance with legislation, legal documentation, trust deed, policy and procedures, etc
- Be subject matter expects for Trustee and Fiduciary Services and REIT business
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fund services and knowledge of accounting and valuation for regulated, pension and traditional funds
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment for custodians
- Good knowledge of global custody and banking operations
- Strong communication skills with an ability to motivate staff and work under pressure to meet deadlines
