Our client is a leading global data vendor offering a range of products to Investment Managers, Broker-Dealers, Hedge Funds and Custodians. This position of Senior Vendor Account Manager is a key relationship and account management role in close support of financial markets clients. You will be managing and developing a range of networks within key accounts, strengthening client relationships and seeking to increase client spend and commitment on products.
The ideal candidate would come from a solid client services and relationship management background, ideally within the vendor space. The Account Manager will most likely be university educated with around 5-10 years of post-university work experience with several years of direct account or relationship management experience.
Responsibilities
- Manages, retains and grows revenue, responsible for sales and the customer relationship
- Build and drive near term and long term account plans for Tier 1 clients.
- Cultivates customer relationships and ensures effective service delivery to accounts customer satisfaction.
- Supports execution of strategy at the account level.
- Acts as point of contact for the client, provides escalation path to and from Service, attends to customer issues promptly.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in business planning, revenue attainment growth, and strong relationship management skills.
- Great interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to travel 50% and flexible to travel worldwide
- 5-10 years of financial industry experience
- 3-7 years relationship/account management experience
- BA/BS degree strongly preferred
