Role Summary Amazon?s Mobile Electronics team is looking for a talented, driven, analytical, and customer-centric Senior Vendor Manager. The successful candidate will be managing several top tier Mobile Electronics ( MP3 Players, GPS and Car Electronics) vendor partners and focus on managing the business relationship, including improving business terms to drive topline sales and profitability improvements. He or she will be responsible for selection growth, including identifying new business opportunities, and building direct relationships with key suppliers to offer a comprehensive selection to customers. The Senior Vendor Manager must be an effective leader and communicator in working with Amazon partners and vendors, as well as with internal groups such as in-stock management, site merchandising, marketing PR, finance, operations, and retail systems. The successful candidate must possess the ability to operate from a company-wide perspective and lead cross-functional and cross-business projects. Key responsibilities Manage a full P L, including planning, forecasting and driving a Mobile Electronics category. Manage the key business inputs of selection, price, and promotion to achieve our sales and margin targets Negotiate for best costs, terms and promotions, create and sell marketing budgets, forecast demand for the whole lifecycle of the products, and grow market segment share and margin Represent Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors and build long term strategic relationships Passionately advocate for the customer and category within Amazon Integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects partner relationships - work prioritization, planning and task delegation Integrate analysis and merchandising instinct into a cohesive category strategy Recognize opportunities to improve the customer shopping experience ? and turn them into new site features
