Senior Web Developer – Wealth Management / Javascript /JQuery / HTML5 / CSS3 / HTTP

My client is looking for an experienced well rounded web developer to join a team building client facing applications. Some of the major initiatives include the redesign and rebuild of a lifestyle website presenting curated articles and events for our high net worth clients. The sites are applications developed in JavaScript to provide an exceptional functional and visual client experience. The site is designed to be responsive and adaptive for desktop tablet and mobile.

The ideal candidate will have a detailed understanding of common patterns and technology in delivering rich internet applications, ideally including mobile platforms. It is required for the applicant to have implemented several successful complex client facing applications. It is not anticipated that this role will have formal line management responsibilities initially. However, the candidate should be prepared to undertake supervisory responsibilities in the future including technical direction of remote teams. However experience working within financial markets is not essential for this role.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of technology delivery, with both design and implementation experience. It is envisaged that the candidate will have significant experience of the following:

Essential Technology Requirement

• Javascript /JQuery / HTML5 / CSS3 / HTTP
• Web accessibility and build regulations
• Building UIs with graphical content and transitions (SVG, CSS JQuery transforms and animations)
• Web CMS platforms and architecture (preferable Adobe CQ / EM)
• Security and authentication implications on the user journey
• Analytics capture and analysis, journey optimisation
• Frameworks and libraries providing client side MVC / MVVM, routing, feature detection poly-fills
• Web stack design and management
