Senior Wind Energy Engineer - Energy - Edinburgh
Job Description We are looking to recruit a grade 5 Senior Engineer work in the Wind Energy team of the Energy Business Line. This position will be based in our Tanfield, Edinburgh office. Job responsibilities: - Completing P50, P90 wind analysis using both site specific and purchased wind data sets Completing feasibility level Noise Modelling of wind farms - Completing Shadow Flicker modelling for a wind farm and authoring of the associated EIA chapter - Undertaking Wind Energy feasibility studies in conjunction with the AECOM GIS teams - Co-ordinating with AECOM noise professionals in the completion of background noise monitoring and EIA chapters for wind farms - Contributing to Wind turbine technology specifications - Specification of Wind monitoring campaigns - Supervision of Met Mast installation - Supervision of Turbine noise compliance tests Candidate requirements: - Experience working for either a wind developer, equipment manufacturer, or consultant - Good knowledge of the onshore wind development process - Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone - Ability to work in a pressurized engineering and project environment - operating to tight timescales - Excellent organizational and time management skills, you will be required to co-ordinate multiple projects within a large global network of offices - Good working knowledge of GL GH Windfarmer® and Wasp Working knowledge of AutoCAD and ArcGIS - Fluent in English and at least 1 other European Language
