Job Description
- Person in this role is expected to work on various high value, complex Wintel technology projects.
- Able to work with third party vendors and in-house SD teams.
- Is able to automate and enhance various Wintel SA BAU operations and self healing mechanisms as part of build to run functional transition.
Qualifications Skills
- Extensive experience on deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows Server based products including 20002003 2008 R2
- Relevant work experience of deploying, hosting supporting applications using Citrix XenApp
- Relevant work experience of deploying, hosting supporting Server Virtualization Products like XenServer * VMware
- Strong experience of deploying supporting various cluster technologies for eg. Microsoft Failover Cluster
- Knowledge on how Active Directory DNS functions
- Knowledge on TCP/IP Networking
- Experience of working in financial institution
- Project Management Capabilities
- Extensive scripting skills using PowerShell, VB, WMI MFCOM
- Good Working knowledge on Dell PowerEdge Servers
- Technical Certifications like ,MCSE 2008, VCP, CCEA
- Experience in drafting project information/approval/implementation documents.
- Experience in disaster recovery practices and procedures.
MUST HAVE
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to communicate with the business at senior level
- Excellent ability to prioritise and control activities and deliver results within budgetary and resource constraints.
- Independent and confident, but willing and able to harness the expertise of others.
- Must be able to manage external (vendor) resources.
- Must be able to coach staff.
- Must be flexible in terms of tasks and working hours including working on weekends if needed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
