Job Summary

Assist Service Manager and Senior Service Support associate with administrative duties relating to ensuring all company policies and procedures related to merchandisers are adhered to. Works closely with outside Support Managers and merchandisers to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Monitors systems and daily and weekly reports.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Acts as a liaison between field and headquarters to provide backup support in administrative and technical areas.
  • Creates, updates and monitors credit for defective merchandise.
  • Receives and monitors all merchandiser's mileage expenses.
  • Updates and maintains current service territory merchandising information.
  • Monitors cross merchandise and quarter pallet promotions.
  • Handles and average of 50 calls per day.
  • Compiles delivery issues statistics for reporting to Logistics.
  • Compiles, maintains and monitors surveys and tracks information for stores and field service team.

    Nature and Scope

  • Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.
  • Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior co-worker and/or supervisor.

    Work Environment

  • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • No travel required.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

    Education and Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years related experience and/or training in a call center environment or in a customer service department
  • Work hours are from 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Experience with JD Edwards helpful.
