About the role
Macquarie Equipment Rentals is seeking to employ a bright and enthusiastic recent commerce/finance graduate to join the Sydney Operations team. As a Settlement Officer your role is to manage the relationship with Brokers/Introducers and assist them through the settlement process once a deal has been approved. Your responsibilities will include:
- Checking legal documentation (including ancillary documents for accuracy, legality and compliance) to approval conditions
- Preparing agreements for settlement
- Entering application information into our systems
- Entering payments instructions into our internal systems for authorisation
- Manage the receipt and storage of original documentation
About you
Ideally you will have work experience in a corporate environment (ideally in a financial services environment, during which you will have gained a sound understanding of rental products, documentation, banking and settlement procedures. Alternatively you may be a recent commerce/finance graduate who has spent time in a corporate environment (i.e. internship). You will also have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and an excellent phone manner
- Strong attention to detail , numerical skills and intermediate Excel skills
- Be a team player with the ability to work unsupervised and independently
- Be self motivated and performance focused
