Sterling Euro Settlements
Sterling and Euro Settlements is part of the Banking Operations Team and the team consists of 7 team members
The Sterling and Euro Settlements Team are responsible for the settlement of the Bank’s and its customers’ high value sterling and euro payments.
The team are responsible for investigating and resolving payment queries and providing a professional customer service.
Detailed Description
Manual inputting of CHAPS instructions received via fax and e-mail;
Repairing of SWIFT instructions that are held
General queue management for our customers SWIFT payment and receipt instructions
Monitoring customers balances and payment flows to ensure that payments are processed in a timely manner relative to payment deadlines;
Verification of payment instructions;
Management of the Bank’s euro payments and receipts
Daily collating and reporting on movements (payments/receipts)
Job Requirements
The ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines due to the number of payment and settlement deadlines;
Strong team working skills;
Effective communication with a wide range of internal and external customers;
Confidence and judgement to escalate effectively when issues arise;
Awareness of the workload of others and the ability to work independently;
Self-motivation and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and switch between urgent operational tasks;
Reliable, positive and enthusiastic attitude;
Confident in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office products;
