Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house with strong Asia-Pacific foundations covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. The group uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
To support expansion in China, we are looking for professionals to join the group and be part of a global team of specialists. In particular, we have positions for bright and passionate Research Associates in our Shanghai office across a number of sectors. This is your opportunity to play an integral role in the growth of our business. As a member of a highly rated team, you will be involved in generating reports that assist in our clients' investment decisions. You will provide market analysis and financial modeling support to the team and help manage database information. Assisting with client presentations and briefings, you will also be involved in helping build our client base and revenue over time.
To be successful, you will:
- Have tertiary qualifications in a finance, accounting or a quantitative discipline. Journalism and engineering backgrounds are also of great interest.
- Be highly numerate with exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills.
- Possess solid English writing skills.
- Be able to build good relationships and enjoy communicating with others.
- Have worked or be working in an equity research capacity or come from an accounting, economics or relevant industry background.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
- Have completed an internship or gained relevant working experience with consulting, funds, securities firms or investment banks. Previous background in engineering or journalism would be preferred.
- Be willing to learn, have a good attitude and commit to the challenging job with intellectual stimulation.
- Have working rights in the PRC and not require any sponsorship.
