Job Description As a SharePoint Architect, you will be responsible for delivering Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 architecture and implementation strategies for AECOM. We have a full-time permanent position available for someone who has a combination of advanced technology and strategic business acumen. The role requires broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect a solution by mapping business problem to an end-to-end technology solution. The position requires experience in SharePoint development support by analyzing specifications, designing logic, writing code, testing and debugging, and writing project documentation for Microsoft SharePoint 2010 portals. In addition the position entails monitoring, managing and resolution of technical issues for a SharePoint server environment in an externally hosted environment. The position requires the ability to lead the technical analysis of hardware and software components and develop and implement the overall technical solution. The candidate must be able to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of SharePoint solutions, integrating standard solutions and custom hardware and software components. The candidate must have ability to engage in senior level technology discussions. Required qualifications - Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 Architecture / Administration familiarity with SqlServer administration and light database design § Deployment and configuration SharePoint 2010 server farm, database, and site collection configuration, design, deployment, and administration § SharePoint development, including the creation of web parts § Experience with deploying, securing, and customizing SharePoint site collections § Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Security model, events, alerts, and workflows § Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 farm topology and SharePoint shared service providers § Experience with My Sites and Profile Service data - Experienced in source code management with TFS, change management and project deployments in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects from multiple development teams - Implementation, continual improvement, and change management methodologies - Experience in participating in virtual teams - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Self-motivated to deliver projects and proactive support for ongoing SharePoint farm monitoring and maintenance in a hosted environment - BA or BS degree, degree in Computer Science preferred Additional Qualifications: - Experience with content migration strategies for importing legacy data into SharePoint - Experience in Microsoft application development with .NET, including VB, ASP, or C#, SqlServer - Experience with Web development, including HTML, DHTML, and CSS - Experience with XML - Experience with SSIS and SSRS - Experience with load-balanced and highly-available single sign-on services and Web publishing for each network through Microsoft ISA Server - Experience with Web front end servers, index servers, search servers, central administrator servers, and SQL server instances - Experience with Excel services, InfoPath Forms services, and Identity Management (IdM) on shared networks - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences - Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technical and non-technical issues - Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills - 5+ years of experience in Project/Program Management Responsibilities - Management, Monitoring and Maintenance of a SharePoint 2010 Farm (including SQL server administration) - Configuration and administration of SharePoint 2010 portals and servers - Maintenance of existing SharePoint 2010 farms Development of SharePoint-based solutions as required - Enhancing existing software solutions and developing new ones to order - Interfacing with internal customers and external clients to define SharePoint requirements - Other duties as requested The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience including expertise in enterprise architecture as well as infrastructure deployment and/or distributed system implementation. The ideal candidate will have experience with technical project management, ability to demonstrate skills in analysis, design, implementation, and development process, mentoring, excellent technical communication skills (oral and written). The candidate must demonstrate professionalism and excellence of their experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle, while maintaining high customer satisfaction. He or she must possess the ability to clearly communicate throughout the organization along with excellent problem solving skills, strong customer service orientation, and the ability to serve a leadership role as part of team.
