Shift Manager I

Administering the safety program to ensure a safe work environment within the operating facility.

Applying electrical engineering principles and problem solving techniques to evaluate and resolve mechanical conditions to maximize operating efficiencies.

Utilizing management skills to supervise, direct, and coordinate the efforts of experienced technicians, craftsmen and project planners to repair and maintain mechanical equipment to keep the operations running at maximum efficiency with minimal interruption. Use technical knowledge and maintenance history of mechanical equipment to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

Performing administrative activities such as scheduling crews, completing production reports, conducting safety conversations, and compiling other reporting as necessary by the operating facility.

HIGH VOLTAGE KNOWLEDGE STRONGLY DESIRED /PREFERRED

Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or 2 year Associates in similar disciplines.

Minimum 3 years experience as a maintenance supervisor working in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills are critical.

Prior experience in a union environment or similar military leadership experience is a plus.
