Through diversity and change our client has become a progressive and successful First Tier manufacturing company producing Body-in-White components and assemblies. As a result of increased demand, they now have a vacancy for a Weld Shift Manager.

 

Committed to adopting best practice and recognising the opportunity for improved competitiveness, they are now looking for a Shift Manager to join their team within the weld area.

 

The role:

The position will require you to undertake the planning and management of all operational associates, process and resources to ensure all customer requirements and departmental targets are understood, communicated and met. You will drive efficiency, quality improvements through process standardisation and associate/team skill development. In addition, you will co-ordinate and drive all supporting departments to ensure targets are consistently bettered.

 

The Person:

Previous Departmental/shift leadership experience in a high pressure Automotive environment preferably BiW is essential. An analytical thinker with effective presentation, communication and IT skills, the successful candidate will have the additional following skills/experience.

·         Planning and organisation of resources/workloads

·         Team organisation and management experience

·         Technical experience of robotic welding and practical load balancing

·         Able to demonstrate use of problem solving techniques and lean tools

·         Concern/countermeasure management experience

·         Knowledge and experience of Health Safety legislation and requirements

·         Knowledge of SPC/quality tools
