Shift Supervisor

 

Responsibilities

• Management duties include but are not limited to: the hiring process of the team on your shift, professional development within the team, communication with staff members, customer, performance reviews and personal responsibility for your shift

• Safety and security duties include ensuring safety and security for the facility, emergency response plans, compliance with all local regulatory requirements and function as the after hour contact for the site

• Reporting duties include but are not limited to, managing and tracking all attendance, training, site inspections and evaluations with Account Manager

 

Qualifications

• High school diploma, college degree preferred

• 3 years janitorial/facility management required

• Union experience required with knowledge of the grievance procedure and the local CBA agreement

• Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in stressful situations

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form

• Creative problem solving skills

• Experience in working with outside vendors/contractors preferred

• Proficient using the internet and Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

 

This is a 3 shift operation with alternating weekends. We are seeking a total "team" player who has the ability to work together for total customer satisfaction throughout the plant. Communications with our direct customer, whether verbal or written is essential to our success.
