Shipping Supervisor Job in Detroit, Michigan Us

Desired Work Experience:

·         Three-Five (3-5) years experience supervising in Production Control department

·         Three-Five (3-5) years experience in Shipping Receiving

·         Two years experience with Ford DDL, Chrysler SMART and/or GM SupplyPower

·         Experience with CMS/AS400 preferred

·         Computer experience (A MUST)

·         Knowledge of lift truck, crane operations

·         Knowledge of all trucking specifications

·         Excellent verbal and communication skills

·         General knowledge of load arrangement and quality standards

·         Computer and negotiation skills

·         Other relevant experience as deemed appropriate by the Company for the requirements set out above

 

Job Description:

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for, but not limited to:

 

·        Ensure product is shipped and received according to specifications

·        Ensure paperwork for shipments is produced as required and paperwork is accurate

·        Ensure computer system(s) are maintained

·        Ensure customer MRP systems are maintained

·        Ensure receiving paperwork is correct and flows as necessary

·        Ensure parts go to the correct plant or area

·        Ensure scrap and garbage is emptied every day

·        Supervise shipping/receiving personnel
