Site Electrical Engineer

ITSI's clients include all branches of the Department of Defense in addition to municipal and commercial clients.
We are seeking a Site Electrical Engineer to support our federal construction projects in Afghanistan. This is an international assignment, reporting to the Project or Construction Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provides design review, and technical supervision and inspection during construction for electrical construction on assigned projects
- Prepares and manages material submittals for electrical materials, gear, and associated site drawings/shop drawings to gain client approval
- Inspects all electrical materials and gear upon arrival at site, and before installation into work product (s)
- Supports management team in preparation of the estimates, proposals, and changes as directed
- Provides technical guidance/inspection to Site HS Manager with inspection/supervision of all lock-out/tag-note measures required on site
- Maintains updated as-built drawings and OM manual for electrical construction activity
- Supports Project Management on proposal preparation and preparation of change requests as required/directed
Skills Required:
- 7+ years experience working electrical construction and vertical projects, electrical distribution
- Experience with 200/220V 50Hz electrical systems required. Afghanistan and/or Iraq experience preferred. 5+ years desirable
- Experience on AFCEE and/or USACE projects required. Afghanistan and/or Iraq experience preferred. 5+ years desirable
- Strong communications skills required
- Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel skills required. Experience supporting Primavera scheduled updates preferred
Education Required:
- Electrical engineering degree required.
- Five years professional electrical engineering experience required
- Current USACE QCM certificate required
- License or PE Accreditation with active registration in home of record (HOR); or
- 15 years experience in HOR does not offer professional registration
